Eccleshall 1s 76ao (27.5 ovs) lost to Sandyford 1s 106/9 (39 ovs) – Eccleshall 5pts, Sandyford 25pts

Eccleshall slipped into the bottom two after another abject batting display saw them bundled out by visiting Sandyford.

In a game reduced to 39 overs per side due to rain, the hosts looked to have put themselves firmly in control when they restricted the visitors to just 106.

Nathan Hinton (3-12) and Myles Coughlan (3-30) both helped themselves to three-wickets whilst Cameron Sinclair claimed 2 for 19, with only Andrew Barnett (22) and Kev Leigh (21) making any scores of note.

The Eccleshall reply got off to a poor start with Tom Hibbert falling in the first over, and the innings didn’t get any better as they found themselves 34 for 7, thanks to an impressive display of bowling from Craig Leese, who took 8 for 17.

The home side were eventually dismissed for 76, with Rob Lakin making 29 and Sinclair 20.

Whitmore 2s 78ao (36.2 ovs) lost to Eccleshall 2s 79/2 (23.5 ovs) – Whitmore 2pts, Eccleshall 20pts

Eccleshall picked up their third straight win thanks to an impressive bowling display away at Whitmore.

Jake Derry’s 4 for 5 was the main undoing for the hosts, with James Carruthers, Dave Robertson and Jordan Beasley all picking up two wickets.

Derry then rounded off a great day with an unbeaten 30 to chase down the score, with Tom Boulton making 21.
