Myles Coughlan made a fluent 55, in a second-wicket stand of 65 before Jake Derry was dismissed for 22. Yasser Tariq made 43, but it was Jordan Wood who was the star of the innings, as he plundered 67 from 65 balls.
Joe Pelter (33*) and Cameron Sinclair (24*) put on 50 from the final seven overs, with Simon Howle and Sohail Zaroof both taking two-wickets.
But during the tea interval the rain arrived, reducing the visitor’s innings to 31 overs.
