Wrens Nest 1-2 Stone Old Alleynians

Stone Old Alleynians moved up to third, following a dramatic last-gasp victory away at Wrens Nest.

Matt Smith’s side had lead one-nil at half-time, thanks to superb lobbed finish from Adam Tomkinson, following a through ball from Cameron Sinclair.

Midfielder Sam Wilson came close to doubling the lead in the second half, but his powerfully driven shot rebounded back off the bar.

And the hosts looked to have snatched a point when their number ten expertly curled home a free-kick late on.

But the in-form Wilson bagged his fourth goal in five, when he bundled home in injury-time, following a goal line scramble involving Paul Griffiths, after Tomkinson’s shot had been saved.
