Wem Town 1-2 Stone Old Alleynians

Stone Old Alleynians reached their third semi-final of the season thanks to a hard fought victory away at Wem Town.

Skipper Paul Griffiths’ shot fell to Sam Wilson inside the box, who made no mistake to opening the scoring early in the first half.

Before Billy Thorley pounced on Matt Thomas’ parried shot midway through the second half to double the lead.

The hosts cut the deficit when Matt Cohen drilled past goalkeeper Chris Heard.

But Alleynians stood firm to secure their passage into the final four.
